Bras Rouge is a fun, aquatic canyon in the heart of the Cilaos cirque. It rises from the ancient crater of Piton des Neiges and combines rappels up to 25 m, jumps, big natural slides and remarkable mineral colours.

This canyon, set in the heart of the Cilaos cirque, rises from the ancient crater of Piton des Neiges. Bras Rouge is a playful, aquatic canyon. The day begins with a 30-minute walk through a tropical jungle atmosphere, followed by a rocky scree slope down to the first rappels...
The entry into the canyon is at the outlet of the impressive "Bras Rouge" cirque, the largest water-collecting basin in Cilaos.
After the briefing, we enter on a dry, airy 25-metre rappel, then put on the wetsuits before starting the aquatic section.
Next, a 25-metre rappel in the spray brings us to the foot of a 70-metre waterfall dropping into a magnificent pool surrounded by red, blue and black walls.
We can tackle the next 5 drops in different ways:
Either as slide-rappels, for a smoother descent
Or as big natural slides, for stronger thrills.
The gorge opens up and we reach the end of the first section around 12:00 / 12:30
*Option to continue on the Integral (+ 3h)
